We’re all really lucky here at CVG. Our clients are too. We live in a beautiful city, in a beautiful country and we’re safe. We can feed our children and we all have a roof over our heads.
We never forget that.
So it’s really important to us to share what we have by looking after our two gorgeous Compassion sponsor children, who both live in Thailand. We really hope that we are making a difference to their lives because it means a lot to us.
Most of us think of holidays when we think of Thailand, but it’s a different story for Pirat and Apisit.
Pirat
Pirat is a beautiful seven-year-old boy who lives with his mum and dad in the tiny little village of Baan Huay Nam Sai, 170km south of Mae Hong Son. There are only about 600 people in the village and it desperately needs vocational training and stable employment opportunities.
His father and mother have two other children and both occasionally work as rural workers, but because they are on such low incomes, they struggle to survive.
A primary school student, Pirat spends his time at home helping the family by carrying water, caring for the other children and washing clothes.
As part of Compassion’s ministry, Pirat takes part in church activities and when he is playing, he loves soccer and rolling hoops.

Apisit
Gorgeous little Apisit is eight years old and he lives with his mother and father in a mountain village called Baan Huai Kong, 200km south of Chiang Mai. There are only about 500 people in the community, which is crying out for qualified teachers and an easy way to deliver crops.
There are two children in the family and he helps out by washing clothes and cleaning. Both his parents occasionally work on plantations but they struggle to provide for the family.
Asipit is in primary school, but loves to participate in Compassion’s church activities, play soccer, roll hoops and play with toy cars.
